By now you should know that Temu is one of my favorite shopping platforms around and if you’ve bought from them sometime over the last two months then you know exactly what i’m talking about.
Their platform is super easy to use, there’s loads of discounts running and there’s even a pretty responsive customer support team on the other end that resolves queries in real time.
But did you know you can get free gifts on Temu as well? Well, I didn’t until I downloaded the app and explored what the app has to offer.
I did find a section in the Temu app where I could choose from a wide selection of gifts for free and have them delivered to my home address. The only catch is that I had to follow a small process in order to unlock those gifts.

Get Free Gifts with the Temu App
Now, the only way you can get free gifts on Temu is by downloading and signing into their app.
You can download the app from their website by clicking on the banner at the top of the homepage or by visiting the Google Play Store / Apple’s App Store.
The free gifts promotion that’s running on the Temu app is actually a referral program where hundreds of different products are listed with their price marked as $0.
These free gifts can be shipped to your home address or any other valid address in the U.S for free, but only if you’re able to refer a specific number of people to sign up to the Temu app within a specific period of time.
Here’s how you can take part in the Temu referral program and receive free gifts for your referrals.
- Download and sign into the Temu app on your smartphone/tablet
- Proceed to tap on the Profile icon in the footer of the app
- Now, tap on Free Gifts

- You will now be requested to select the delivery address for the free gift and once done, tap on Confirm Address
- The following page will be a pop-up game and all you’d have to do is tap one of the three boxes on the screen to find out how many referrals are required to receive the free gift
- Note: All three boxes will have different values, so it’s all to do with luck and if you can pick the right box with the lowest referral requirement
- The next screen will bring up a field with multiple (+) icons, tap on it to bring up the Share option and then share the referral link with the required number of people via various messaging or social media apps
- Once the referrals have successfully signed up to the Temu app, the free gift will be shipped to the address you selected earlier.
The only catch is that the referrals must be first-time users and should ensure that they click on the link and sign up to Temu within a period of 24 hours from when the link was sent out.
If they do so after the 24 hour mark their referral will not work and the free gift must be forfeited.
Play the Fishland Game to Receive Free Gifts on Temu
As of 2023, Temu has a new game that you can play and receive free gifts in return. The game is called Fishland and it's relatively easy to play.
Fishland requires you to feed the fish when they're hungry and upon doing so you will be able to take home a product of your choice.
In order to play Fishland you must login to your Temu account on the app and then proceed to your profile. From here tap on Earn Credits & Free Gifts and then click on the option labeled Fishland.
Choose the product you want for free and then proceed to play the game. You will have to tap the feeding bag and feed all the fish when they are hungry. While starting the game you will be provided with 200g of food for the fish and an extra 45g everyday.
In order to receive more food so you can claim the gift sooner, you will be required to refer friends to join the app and the more friends you refer the more food you will receive in return.
Once you've fed and collected all the fishes then you can have the gift shipped to your home address for free.

What are the Rules to Receive Free Gifts on Temu?
While nearly everyone who has never used Temu is technically eligible to receive free gifts via the app, don’t expect everything to come for free without some terms and conditions.
Luckily, Temu’s T&C for their referral program is quite simple and easy to follow.
- The free gift offer is currently only available on the Temu app and can’t be accessed on the website
- The referred contacts should be first-time users to Temu and should not have an account with Temu nor have they downloaded the app in the past on the same device
- All referred contacts should click on the link within a period of 24 hours for the referral to be considered
- Free gifts can not be transferred or shipped outside of the contiguous U.S
- The referral program is only applicable to individuals who are not currently working in or have relatives working in Temu
- None of the free gifts can be redeemed or exchanged at any point in time
- New users who are referred to the Temu app should be actual beings and not spoof accounts created just for the referral program and free gifts
- The free gift offer can be taken down without prior notice and can be replaced with an alternative referral program
